As a healthcare professional, you'll deal with a wide variety of people, some of whom may have a history of violence or drug abuse, or may simply be distressed because of the situation they're in. These factors increase the risk of violence in the workplace. In this course, you'll gain the skills and knowledge needed to take responsibility for your personal safety and recognize, prevent, or stop incidents of violence. You'll also learn how to deal with workplace violence using the ROAR method.This course was developed with subject matter provided by Eric L.
