The Flu infects the body's respiratory system, including the nose, throat, airways, and lungs and is caused by the influenza virus. Influenza viruses are divided into three types – Influenza A, Influenza B, and Influenza C. Influenza needs the cells of a host, such as a human or animal, and to sustain itself, and the virus needs to keep moving from one host to another. Washing your hands frequently and thoroughly may help prevent this and many other types of illnesses and infections. This course was developed and reviewed with subject matter support provided by certified subject matter experts and industry professionals.
