In this course, you'll build on your diagnostic skills by exploring Cisco OS types, some popular connection techniques, and two standard network protocols for remote device communication, access, and management. You'll start by investigating the different Cisco OS types you're likely to encounter daily. You'll then learn how to distinguish them by their primary differentiators. Next, you'll examine how to connect to a Cisco IOS device directly and what's needed to access it. Finally, you'll learn how to use terminal emulation for Cisco IOS device access by employing the network protocols Telnet and SSH. This course can be used in preparation for the 100-490: Supporting Cisco Routing and Switching Network Devices (RSTECH) exam and to attain the Cisco Certified Technician (CTT) Routing & Switching certification.
