Kubernetes is a container orchestration solution. This provides benefits for administrators and software developers by allowing high availability through multiple cluster nodes as well as the ability to self-heal failed application pods. In this course, you'll start with an overview of Kubernetes features and how they are used to solve common problems and you will discover the components in the Kubernetes architectures. Moving on, you will consider the role of control plane and worker nodes in the cluster followed by discovering the purpose of pods in the cluster. Next, explore the pod life cycle including pod state as well as ReplicaSets and StatefulSets. You will discover how deployments, namespaces, ConfigMaps, and secrets are used in the cluster. Lastly, you will learn how etcd is used to track the state of all cluster components. This course can be used to prepare for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam.
