Millions of workers in a variety of industries use handheld tools every day. While hand and power tools are useful to get the job done, they can turn a normal work day into a tragedy. In this course, you'll learn about the general basic safety rules when using tools. You'll also learn how to identify hazards and safety controls associated with hand tools. Then you'll be introduced to general safety guidelines as well as specific precautions for using power tools.This course was developed with subject matter support provided by Pinchin Ltd., an environmental, health and safety consulting firm with offices across Canada.
