This 15-video course, used to prepare for the MS-200 Planning and Configuring a Messaging Platform certification exam, explores the transport pipeline, including planning the architecture, designing multisite mail flow, and planning for high availability mail flow solutions. Learners begin by examining the transport pipeline-a collection of components responsible for moving mail around within an organization, and to and from the organization-and the transport service on both mailbox servers and Edge Transport servers. Then you will hear descriptions of message redundancy in the Front End Transport service on Mailbox servers, and Shadow Redundancy in Exchange. Next, explore SMTP timeouts and the message processing procedure after an outage. Other key topics covered in this course include maintaining shadow messages, message loss, safety nets and their maximum sizes, and message resubmissions. The course concludes with discussions of how the Safety Net feature in Exchange works, Safety Net configuration settings, and how message resubmission from the Safety Net is processed.
