About the Author
Michael Fuhr is a certified tax advisor with a business informatics background. He co-leads the German EY indirect tax technology practice and is responsible for the Bavarian region as the indirect tax technology partner at EY Munich. Together with his team, he delivers end-to-end indirect tax solutions that enable data-based indirect tax management for multinational and regional clients. As deputy lead of expert committee III of the Institute of Digitization for Taxes, Michael is part of a community to shape the future of indirect tax developments for real-time reporting and e-invoicing.
Dirk Heyne works as a partner in the Big Four. He advises clients during the transformation and digitization of their tax function and its integration with the finance function. One of his focus areas is the support of the tax function during SAP S/4HANA transformation projects. The use cases span tax data management across operational transfer pricing to the implementation of BEPS 2.0 requirements. Dirk is a certified tax advisor and a certified public accountant in Germany. Beyond that, he holds a PhD from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science as well as two master’s degrees in engineering and business engineering from the Technical University Munich.
Nadine Teichelmann is a senior consultant in the EY indirect tax technology practice based in Munich, Germany. In this role, she advises multinational clients on the digitization of their tax department. With her degree in business informatics and her ongoing PhD in tax technology, Nadine’s core focus is on the technical and business process side of indirect tax implementation projects in SAP S/4HANA.
Jan Walter is a tax partner in the EY Business Tax Practice, and he is based in Munich, Germany. As an SAP S/4HANA expert, Jan supports tax functions in transformation projects to identify, address, and manage direct tax requirements in SAP. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in tax operating model transformation, direct tax-enabled ERPs, and tax compliance management and reporting. Jan has been the project lead for several tax technology and transformation projects, and he has been responsible for the development of various SAP-based tax applications.
