About the Authors

Bastin Gerald is a software architect at Oracle Corporation. He is currently leading the designs for the various modules of Oracle Product Development Exchange. He played a significant role in designing the Oracle Warehouse Management System. He worked in the Consulting Organization before joining Development, and has lead Oracle Applications implementation for various clients. Bastin has acquired the CPIM and CIRM certifications from APICS. He is also a Sun Certified Java Programmer.

Nigel King is senior director of design and architecture. His professional career spans finance, manufacturing, and distribution in three countries. He has worked as in both pre- and post-sales consulting before joining development at Oracle six years ago. Nigel’s career within development has seen many if not most of the major initiatives within the manufacturing and supply chain applications. He chairs the Architecture Review Group for Oracle Applications, a design oversight group that coordinates the design across the more than 100 applications that make up the E-Business Suite. Nigel is a certified Manufacturing engineer, a certified instructor for the American Production and Inventory Control Society, and a chartered management accountant.

Dan Natchek has documented and taught manufacturing and distribution systems, as well as implemented and sold them, for more than 20 years. He is an APICS-certified Fellow in production and inventory management. For the past eight years he has been employed by Oracle Corporation in the areas of customer education, consulting and pre-sales support. He participates on several Field Advisory boards, including Flow Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, and Manufacturing Scheduling.
