About the Author

Donald H. Sheldon is president of the DHSheldon & Associates consulting firm in New York. He has over 30 years of management experience, serving in the positions of Director and General Manager of The Raymond Corporation's (world-class manufacturer of material handling equipment) Aftermarket Services Division, Vice President at Buker, Inc. (world leader in business management education and consulting), and Director of Management Systems and later Vice President of Global Quality and Six Sigma Services at the NCR Corporation. Mr. Sheldon consults with companies all over the globe to improve competitive advantage.

Mr. Sheldon has written numerous articles published in journals, and is coauthor (with Michael Tincher) of The Road to Class A Manufacturing Resource Planning (MPR II) (1995), and is the author of Achieving Inventory Accuracy (J. Ross Publishing 2004), Class A ERP Implementation (J. Ross Publishing 2005), World Class Sales & Operations Planning (J. Ross Publishing 2006), and World Class Master Scheduling (J. Ross Publishing 2006). He has been a frequent speaker at colleges, international conventions, and seminars, including APICS (the Association for Operations Management). He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Business and Government Policies Studies and an undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from the State University of New York, Empire State College. He is certified by APICS as Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM), Certified in Resource Management (CIRM), and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
