About the Authors

Marty Seldman earned his PhD in clinical psychology. In 1986, he started his career as an international executive coach. At that point he had lived in many other cultures and worked in a variety of roles in the interpersonal skills training field. Eventually, coaching became his primary professional focus, and in the past 22 years he has conducted in-depth, one-on-one coaching sessions with more than 1,500 executives. He counts himself fortunate to have worked with a number of companies and clients consistently over many years, which has allowed him to track individual career paths and corporate procedures. This has given him a thorough understanding of why certain individuals reach higher levels of achievement, and others don’t.

Joshua Seldman is a highly respected cycling and fitness coach, and through his experience as an athlete and coach, has become one of the foremost experts on endurance performance. During his career as a professional athlete, he was a 12- and 24-hour solo mountain bike champion, and competed in the Elite national championships, world championships, and international stage races, such as the Tour of Chile.

Joshua worked for many years as a lead coach for Carmichael Training Systems, one of the top coaching companies in the world. He has coached all levels of individuals including national and world champions, as well as members of the Leukemia Society’s Team in Training, and riders who had survived cancer as they completed the Lance Armstrong/Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Tour of Hope ride across the country from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. in eight days.

Currently he specializes in corporate wellness and executive performance, working with individuals and companies to maximize their performance through the benefits of improved fitness, higher energy levels, increased stamina, and a balanced life.
