About the Author
William Kelly is the owner of Kelly HR, an HR consulting services firm specializing in providing HR consulting services and support for small business enterprises. Kelly has over 40 years of HR experience, including 17 years as an instructor for the University of California. He will be one of the first instructors to teach for the new SHRM certifications. Kelly served on the Board of Directors at HRCI and was a past President, and also served on the Board of Directors for SHRM.
William H. Truesdell is President and founder of The Management Advantage, Inc., a personnel management consulting firm. Prior to starting The Management Advantage, Truesdell spent more than 20 years in management with American Telephone and Telegraph in human resources and operations. He is an expert on the subjects of personnel practices, employee handbooks, equal opportunity, and performance management programs. Truesdell is the author of five self-published titles, including Secrets of Affirmative Action, Easy Employee Supervision, and Secrets of Investigating Discrimination. Truesdell is past president of the Northern California Employment Round Table, a liaison group for employers and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. He also served for five years on the National Workplace Diversity Committee within the Society for Human Resource Management. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the California State University at Fresno.
Christina Nishiyama, SPHR, SHRM-CP, has 15 years of human resource and organizational development experience and has a history of successful leadership in business strategy, project management, finance, and information technology. Awarded the 2003 International Coach of the Year designation, Dory Willer is a certified business and life coach with 25 years of experience as a senior human resources executive, international speaker, and training facilitator. She has broad and diverse experience working for blue-chip and Fortune 100s, most recently as VP of Human Resources. Nationally known for aligning people to their success factors, Willer maintains a limited practice of individual clients for executive and performance enhancement and career/life renewal as well as strategic planning with business teams as an action strategist coach. She was among the first graduating class from Stanford’s Executive HR Certification Program with the Graduate School of Business in 1994. Willer achieved the designations of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Professional Certified Coach more than 15 years ago and recently gained the SHRM-SCP credential from the Society of Human Resource Management. She also holds a certification in Individual and Organizational Coaching from the Hudson Coaching Institute and a B.S. in Organizational Development/Behavior from the University of San Francisco.
