Tech & Dev Release Calendar
We just wrapped up our first quarter in April and, we thought it would be useful to highlight what we were creating in our Tech and Dev group the past few months and is now available for most learners worldwide. We have a summary chart of our roadmap immediately below. There is also an itemized list of all courses released below that.
We'd like to highlight a few items that we think are of particular interest for our learners everywhere. We have seen more than ~10,000 registered learners sign up for our numerous Bootcamps in 2021. Replays are available in Percipio for all bootcamps we have run at a prior time and cover a wide range of topics including PMP cert prep, Security, Data Science, DevOps, Programming, and Software Craftsmanship. Replaying these Bootcamps at your own pace and convivence is a great way to explore the topic more deeply. In fact, you can now open a lab/practice Sandbox and follow along with all the instructors' examples. You can search for Sandbox in Percipio or search for a topic and then filter on Lab as the modality. We have 38 Sandboxes at this time and they all contain different tech stacks for learners to explore and use for making their learning more personal.
In the first quarter of 2021 we released more than 150 hours of Aspire Journey content, with at least 300 more hours coming. There are more than 80 hours of new Programming and Data Science content that will be releasing in this quarter (May, June, July). There are a couple of areas to highlight. We have a new 5G proficiency journey available now. Our Aspire journeys in Tech & Dev have two main kinds of journeys. One is our Role-based journeys where we help learners move from one role to another, with typically four roles available in these journeys. A proficiency journey is a deep dive on one role and one role only. A couple of other exciting journeys are Go Programming, and Java Novice to Javanista (following the wildly popular Python Novice to Pythonista).
We are working towards integrating a cloud lab practice solution that will cover the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). We expect to roll-out these new Cloud challenge labs (1,100) in the August timeframe. Additionally we will have some hybrid/multi-Cloud content releasing as well as some Load-balancing content. We want to make sure customers have options when learning and practicing around Cloud technology. Last quarter we talked about Tech leadership content coming. The first journey is here, Security for Leaders and Decision-makers and is intended to keep tech leaders still sharp so they have a full understanding of the components, tradeoffs, benefits, pitfalls of a given subject. Data for Leaders and Decision-makers is moving along nicely and should be available this quarter.
Whether it is because companies and security professionals see how serious the SolarWinds breach was or the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack is, we have seen Security course consumption skyrocket during the past quarter. We now have seven Security Journeys that can truly help any company thwart nefarious actors or security threats. One new proficiency journey performing very well is OS Exploits. This journey will focus on Windows exploits and forensics as well as Linux exploits and mitigations. Needless to say, we will continue to add more security assets as well as revise some of the existing content. Security is an always-changing area that we believe is important to have content that addresses the current and future market needs.
