SEE WHAT’S CHANGING IN TECH

The annual IT Skills and Salary survey asks tech professionals about their compensation, certifications, job roles, challenges, and far more. This report compiles their insights.

Job Satisfaction

Nearly three-quarters of tech professionals are happy with their careers — but not necessarily their employer. More than half think they may look elsewhere next year.

Job Security

77% of tech professionals feel good about their job security — a consistent trend that carries on from past years. And those who were laid off bounced back within just a few months.

Certifications

More than half of tech professionals prioritized certification-based training in the past year. And for them, their certified status is paying off in the form of higher quality work and higher salaries.

Investments

It may come as no surprise to see that most IT decision-makers are prioritizing investments in artificial intelligence. However, they face challenges ahead as professionals with these skills are in short supply.

HAS PROGRESS STALLED FOR THOSE IN LEADERSHIP?

Last year, survey findings showed a marked decline in skills gaps. This year, not so much.

The same number of decision-makers in tech reported skills gaps on their teams again this year. Despite this, most remain focused on upskilling their teams — and they’re reaping the rewards.
