International shipping introduces additional complexities in the transportation of dangerous goods in and out of Canada. It is important to know which country's regulations would apply in these cases. Would there be a need to satisfy several sets of regulations for one shipment? The desire to have goods move freely between countries has led to agreements between countries and the authorities regulating different modes of transport. This course explains how different jurisdictions and regulatory authorities work together to ensure the safe transport of dangerous goods in and out of Canada. This course was developed with subject matter support provided by Pinchin Ltd., an environmental, health and safety consulting firm with offices across Canada. Please note, the course materials and content were current with the laws and regulations at the time of the last expert review, however, they may not reflect the most current legal developments.
