This introductory course outlines the history and mission of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and why it is important to workers. It provides learners with a basic understanding of employee rights and employer responsibilities under OSHA and how to read OSHA standards. It also explains the OSHA inspection process and introduces learners to a variety of safety and health resources that they may find useful or necessary on the job.The course was developed and reviewed with subject matter support provided by certified subject matter experts and industry professionals.
