This course covers basic health and safety for employees who work in domestic environments. It identifies some of the particular safety and health risks of a domestic setting and outlines control safety measures to take, focusing on hazards associated with domestic equipment, fire and gas, people, dangerous substances, slips and falls and work practices. In addition, practices for dealing with stress and first aid steps for common injuries will also be covered. This course was developed with subject matter expert support by DEKRA – Global advisors for safety testing, consulting, inspection, and certification.
