The construction industry is typically a dangerous industry to work in. One reason for this is the danger brought on by the operation of large machinery, such as cranes. This course will provide an orientation to crane use during construction, as well as in-depth look into the various hazards associated with crane operation and safe operating practices based on guidelines established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).In addition to being able to recognize crane hazards, learners will learn to identify requirements concerning identification, selection, inspection, and the use of cranes in construction activities.This course was developed with subject matter support provided by EnSafe Inc., a global professional services company focusing on engineering, environment, health and safety, and information technology.
