About the Author
Prof. Dr. Ulrike Buchholz has been teaching corporate communications at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts since 2001. Her fields of work are internal communication, communication in change processes, strategic communication management and corporate communication in management theory. She studied linguistics, German and Indo-Germanic linguistics in Münster before completing her doctorate on Wilhelm von Humboldt's philosophy of language. Until her appointment, she was head of internal communications at Infineon Technologies AG worldwide. Before that, she was responsible for projects in the field of executive communication and change management in the corporate communications department of Siemens AG.
Prof. Dr. Susanne Knorre works as a management consultant with a focus on communication and management as well as strategy and organizational development. She has many years of experience on supervisory boards. After studying political science and economics and passing the state examination for the higher general administrative service, she worked in the Ministry of Economics in Rhineland-Palatinate as head of the minister's office, among other positions. During this time, she wrote her doctoral thesis on the development of German collective bargaining autonomy. She then moved to Preussag AG and took over as Head of Corporate Communications in 1998. From 2000 to 2003 she was Minister of Economics in Lower Saxony. Since 2007, Knorre has been a part-time professor of corporate communications at the Institute for Communication Management at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
