About the Author

Gary Garfield (Nashville, TN) is the former CEO of Bridgestone Americas Corp, the north American division of the Bridgestone Tire Company, borne out of Bridgestone’s acquisition of one of its largest competitors, Firestone (upwards of 55,000 employees across 5 continents). Gary is a speaker at and consultant, as well as a frequent guest lecturer at a number of colleges and universities such as Yale, Wharton, Vanderbilt, West Point, and many more. Gary also sits on the board of two startups for whom he acts as a strategic advisor.
